People, in any organisation, represent an important resource, productive and flexible management of that resource must be a priority. Those who make decisions and pursue courses of action enhance value creation and ultimately determine the fate of any organisation. To make these strategic decisions, a solid base of understanding of the four human resource issues addresse specialization is necessary: Staffing, Developing, Reward System and Work Systems. Students acquire knowledge of current and emerging HR practices, and skills in diagnosing human resource problems. This includes considerations taking into account, in developing policies, such as the impact of decisions on individuals as human beings, and not simply as employees.
